  • James Marcus (Jim) Baldwin

When you met him, you had a friend for life.

Jim was 71 years old and passed with peace July 26, 2015 with his family by his side. Jim was preceded in death by his father Marcus Baldwin and his mother Carol Baldwin, and a brother, Larry Carol Baldwin. He is survived by his wife Tammy Daniels-Baldwin, his son Spencer Baldwin and wife Danielle, grandsons Tyler and Breysen, son Jason Baldwin, and son Jack Daniels and wife Sunny Daniels, grandchildren Katie, Emma, Jimmy, AJ, Charlotte, and Maggie.

Jim was born in Chicago, Illinois in 1944 and graduated from Roswell High in Roswell, New Mexico in 1963. He attended New Mexico State University for two years then joined the Air force in May 1966. He served in Vietnam receiving two bronze stars. The air force took Jim to Alamogordo, New Mexico where he retired in 1986.  After retirement he worked for Lockheed Martin for 11 years and Tysons Poultry for 10.

Jim enjoyed being outdoors working on his property, hunting, fishing, watching old westerns and spending time with Tammy.  Not wanting to be idle he became a volunteer firefighter on the Bodcaw   Volunteer Fire Department.  Becoming the Volunteer fire chief for 5 years, Jim worked tirelessly to help update equipment and secure important training opportunities.
